Unlike walk-in bathtubs, wheelchair users able to transfer to and from a bed can use our tub unassisted. If assistance is needed, our tubs accommodate lifts, and the elevated design reduces back strain and bending for caregivers. Other tubs have a chair style seat for bathers, while our bathtub allows bathers to stretch out and relax, enjoying a full body immersion spa experience.
To enter the tub, sit down in the doorway and slide back as you would into a bed. Your legs slide in without any strain. Then slide the door shut - it seals by itself. No fussy latches or lock pins needed to prevent leaks and spills. The faucets and grab bars are all within easy reach.
The sliding door in the side of the bathtub opens like a van door, so it doesn’t get in your way or require extra clearance. It seals using the water pressure inside the tub. Filling the Aquassure bathtub increases the seal strength and integrity. The whole bathtub is elevated on a cabinet base with drawers, providing additional storage underneath. The door sill of the bathtub is 20” high for easy seated access. There is clearance for a wheeled lift, when needed.
The Aquassure Bathtub comes with pre-installed, high-flow fixtures and uses less water than most ‘walk-in’ tubs for a faster, more comfortable fill. Our fixtures allow you to pre-set the water temperature and offer choices of easy-to-use lever handles or optional push-button controls. All the controls are within easy reach. Choices of air jets, water jets, or both are also available for a therapeutic spa experience. The unique cabinet base can be matched to home décor with plain or hardwood finishes to enhance the ambiance of your bathing area.
